Works by Salvaor Dalí alongside sculptures from other artists at the grounds of Russborough House.

Over a dozen works by the surrealist Spanish artist Salvador Dali go on display at Russborough House in County Wicklow. The exhibition, which also contains works by Irish sculptors, is expected to attract thousands of visitors.

Salvador Dalí was the master of surrealist art and is possibly best known for his image of the melted clock.

Works by Salvador Dalí, including his famous Melted Clock, are being installed in the grounds of Russborough House transforming it into an open air art gallery.

Joan Griffith, Russborough House, says they are delighted to be able to place works by Dalí and other Irish artists in such a beautiful setting in the Wicklow mountains.

Two of the larger Dalí works are on sale for €450,000 and €470,000. The art can be viewed by visitors free of charge. Oliver Gormley, Gormley's Fine Art who are hosting the exhibition in partnership with The Dalí Universe, says that they expect thousands will come just to see the works but there will be art buyers too.
