Bray Wanderers and Ray Houghton bring a football camp to Enniskerry National School.

Bray Wanderers are the only League of Ireland football club in County Wicklow. Members of the club pay a visit St Mary's and St Gerard's National School in Enniskerry.

The Enniskerry school is the first in the country to receive an official introductory visit from Football Association Ireland (FAI) club promotion officers. Joining the Bray players is former Republic of Ireland star Ray Houghton.

Forging community links is a positive and inexpensive way to help clubs like Bray Wanders to survive. Bray Wanderers manager Eddie Gormley hopes in time some of the children from the Enniskerry school could be playing for the club.

That's the way we’ve gone, we’re a club that brings young players through.

Many Bray Wanders players and their manager have come through St Joseph’s Association Football Club (Joeys) in nearby Sallynoggin, Dublin.

Paddy Kavanagh of Bray Wanderers played for St Josephs and Ballybrack Boys Football Club. He hopes this progression will continue.

When Bray Wanderers captain Stephen Brennan played for St Josephs in the 1990s there was a link between Bray, St Josephs and Newcastle United. Pat Devlin of Bray Wanders had a connection with Newcastle United manager Kenny Dalglish.

He introduced it with Joeys because they’re relatively close and it started from there.

Eddie Gormley is hopeful for a good result when Bray Wanderers take on the league champions Bohemians at Dalymount Park,

We have a good mix and the players are gaining experience with every game and you haven’t seen the best of us yet.
