The young Dublin band Eugene with members from Coolock, Finglas and Templeogue.

Eugene perform their debut single 'Julie Cries'.

The band lineup includes 18 year old Jil Turner on vocals, Dave McGinley on guitar, Gerry Forde on guitar and keyboards, Derek Ennis on bass and Martin Murphy on drums.

'Eugene' won the Stag Hot Press Award for Best Unrecorded Act in 1982.

The success of the group could decide their future careers.
