A remarkable exhibition of life in Fermanagh can be seen at the Corner Bar in Lisnaskea.
Publican Pat Cassidy has built up an extensive folk museum at his premises the Corner Bar on the Main Street of Lisnaskea, County Fermanagh.
This idiosyncratic museum started almost accidentally when in 1960 the pub required reconstruction. Stonemason Sonny John McRory suggested cutting and building a fireplace in the style found at nearby Castle Balfour. Local blacksmith the late Hugh Gunn made and installed an old style grate and other equipment.
From then on Pat Cassidy's friends started to bring in bits and pieces which they thought would suit the room.
The collection grew so extensively that a second room was used to display the items, and then a third.
Pat Cassidy’s memorabilia from bygone days includes what is claimed to be a World War I torpedo, old guns, traditional metal, wicker and straw work, lamps and items of archaeological interest.
