Reigning champions Kilkenny defend the All Ireland hurling title against Limerick.

The All Ireland Hurling Final has Kilkenny looking to remain champions facing a Limerick side that have lit up a thrilling championship.

The road to Croke Park is a well worn one for Kilkenny supporters.

Kilkenny supporters were outnumbered by Limerick fans as they made their way to Croke Park for the All Ireland Hurling Final. Despite being outnumbered, Kilkenny fans are confident of a win. Limerick supporters are optimistic predicting a win for their county.

Henry Shefflin opened the scoring for Kilkenny with his 350th championship point followed by a goal from Eddie Brennan eight minutes in. A minute later, Henry Shefflin scored a second goal.

It was tough going for Limerick with Ollie Moran leading the attack. Kilkenny made it look easy and were eight points ahead at half time.

Kilkenny started the second half without Henry Shefflin following an injury. Ollie Moran provided some hope for Limerick with a goal. It was to be another black and amber day with Kilkenny retaining the Liam MacCarthy Cup. This was Kilkenny's 30th All Ireland title win.

The final score was Kilkenny 2–19 Limerick 1–15.
