The annual canoe race from Rathdrum to Avoca on the Avonmore River in County Wicklow.
Weather conditions were good over the weekend for the annual canoe race from Rathdrum to Avoca in County Wicklow. The race was organised by the Wild Water Kayak Club.
Shane Kelly of the Liffey Valley Club came in first completing the five mile course in a record time of 28 minutes. Eunan Malone was in second place and Oisín Cahill came third.
Fiona Clarke came first in the women's race with Deirdre Fagan coming second, both members of the Wild Water Kayak Club.
All in all, a very enjoyable day on the Avonmore river.
