Gardaí have said cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of €900,000 were seized as part of an investigation into suspected facilitators of drug trafficking.
The Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau said it intercepted two vehicles simultaneously this afternoon while travelling in the vicinity of Ardee, Co Louth.
Two men aged 41 and 33, and one woman aged 33 were arrested and are currently detained for questioning at Dundalk and Ashbourne Garda Stations.
They can be held for up to seven days.
A vacuum packing machine and €8,000 in cash were also seized during follow up searches carried out at locations in Leixlip, Co Kildare and Ballyshannon, Co Donegal.
Investigations are ongoing.
