The restaurant group Jo'Burger has announced it is going into liquidation.

It blamed a number of factors, including what it called "challenging trading conditions".

In a statement on social media, the company, Jo'Burger Group Ltd, said it was with great regret that it was to be liquidated.

It said its outlets, Jo'Burger, Crackbird, Hey Donna and Bar Giuseppe would cease trading immediately. The group operated from six premises in Dublin.

The company thanked and apologised to staff and suppliers.

The company has been loss making in recent years and went into examinership in 2009.

It continued trading after a restructuring then.

In recent years, it has cited rising rent costs as a negative factor in the business and increased competition from large groups.
