The Theatre of Food returns for the sixth year to Electric Picnic 2016, which takes place from Friday September 2 to Sunday 4, and foodies - five things to make sure you see are:
5. Roz Purcell:
New to Theatre of Food the blogger, cookery book author and fashion model will be there cooking up a storm.
4. Susan Jane White:
The best-selling cookbook author, blogger and YouTube star will be sharing her culinary skills with the crowd
3. Katie Sanderson:
The chef/creator of legendary pop-ups such as Dilisk will be joining the Picnicers for 2016.
2. World Cuisine:
There will be cuisine from all over the world at the event from cult Cork city restaurateurs Takashi Miyazaki from Japan to Gautham Iyer from India.
1. New Stage:
This year the Theatre of Food will have a brand new stage complete with snazzy velvet, red curtain and a piano - a real restaurant setting!
These are all in addition to the usual mix of food demonstrations on the main stage and workshops, for all ages in the workshop area. Children will have a pizza-making session and they will try to beat the record of the longest length of pasta ever made during a festival.
