Mining company Kenmare has said its Moma mine in Mozambique will not start operating at full capacity until the second half of 2009.
The announcement follows a review, which took place after problems with equipment at the titanium prevented production from reaching its target levels.
Kenmare said that, notwithstanding this delay, the operation of the mining, processing and exporting facilities has been demonstrated and confirmed during the review.
It said its lenders had been told about the revised schedule and the company expected talks with them on new arrangements to take around two months.
