Jagran Prakashan, the Indian newspaper publisher in which Independent News & Media has a 21% stake, has reported net profits of €4m for the second quarter of its financial year.
This was up 25% on the same period a year earlier, as revenues grew by 23% to €31.9m.
The company said advertising and circulation revenues continue to show strong growth, with increases of 25% and 8% respectively.
The company publishes Dainik Jagran, the most widely read newspaper in India.
