Radio figures are mainly static

The latest radio listenership figures show few changes among the national stations.

The JNLR/TNS MRBI survey covers the period from July last year to June this year and shows RTE Radio 1 on a reach - or listened yesterday - figure of 23%, unchanged from the last survey three months earlier.

2FM, Today FM and Lyric FM were all unchanged at 18%, 16% and 3% respectively. Newstalk achieved 5% over the nine-month period from the end of September when it went national.

In the Dublin market, FM104 and 98FM both fell by two points to 21% and 16% respectively Spin, Q102 and Country Mix were all unchanged at 12%, 10% and 3% respectively. Phantom recorded 2% for the eight months from October 31 when it began broadcasting.

In Cork, 96FM/County Sound was unchanged at 47% and Red FM was down one at 17%. In the South-East, Beat FM gained one to 18%.
