Emap expects Irish radio sale soon

British media group Emap has said it expects to agree on the sale of its three Irish radio stations 'shortly'. Emap is selling Today FM, Highland Radio and FM104. Six groups are reported to be interested.

In a statement ahead of its AGM, the company indicated that the three stations were performing more strongly than those in the UK.

Including the Irish stations, revenue was in line a flat market, but without the Irish stations, Emap's radio revenue was down 2%%.
