The Irish Echo newspaper has attracted new investment from a consortium led by businessman and former GAA President Peter Quinn.
The consortium is comprised of Irish American and Irish business people, with the Belfast Media Group taking a minority stake.
Seán Finlay, who purchased the paper in 2002, retains a significant stake in the newspaper and will remain on the board.
Peter Quinn said that the new investors would bring a wealth of experience and talent from both sides of the Atlantic to the newspaper.
