Dublin hurlers have been boosted by the return to fitness of Liam Rushe, who has recovered from a groin injury, according to the We Are Dublin GAA website.
It was also reported on RTÉ's Morning Ireland on Tuesday morning.
The return of the former team captain will bring a major boost to Pat Gilroy's side as they begin their Division 1B campaign against Offaly this weekend.
All-Star recipient Danny Sutcliffe, Conal Keaney and Joey Boland are among several players to have rejoined the Dublin panel in recent weeks.
Controversy surrounded the Dublin team last year after former manager Ger Cunningham opted to place an emphasis on youth and dropped a number of stalwarts from the squad, including former captain Johnny McCaffrey and 2013 All Star Peter Kelly. Both are expected back this year.
Cunningham later stepped down from his position on the back of a disappointing season, which culminated in a 6-26 to 1-19 annihilation at the hands of Tipperary on the qualifiers.
Gilroy was subsequently appointed as manager last October on a three-year term, with former Galway boss Anthony Cunningham, Mickey Whelan and Paddy O'Donoghue coming on board as part of his management team.
