"This virus doesn't discriminate. This country does".

As the Covid-19 pandemic turns US Election dates upside down, it has also unearthed racial issues within the country.

Chicago's mayor pledged a new health campaign aimed towards the city’s black and brown communities after a new report showed an alarming number of African Americans dying from Covid-19. In the city, over 70% of deaths from the virus were from the black community, despite only making up 30% of the city’s population.

Kailee Scales from Black Lives Matter tells 'States of Mind’ why African-Americans are on the back foot when it comes to fighting the virus.

One divided American family is also back to say how they are fairing in lockdown and if any minds have been changed about the Trump administration’s approach to the pandemic.
