An environmentally friendly portable chair is proving a big hit for pilgrims planning to attend the papal mass in the Phoenix Park later this month.
Veritas, the Catholic bookshop chain which approved the chair, says it reflects Pope Francis' emphasis on caring for the environment.
The chair is made from corrugated board and can withhold a weight of up to 100kg.
It features an image of the Pope and is 100% recyclable.
Dublin man John McGarry came up with the idea after finding himself on his feet for hours at sporting events and concerts.
Mr McGarry felt it was the perfect time to launch the chair, with around 500,000 people expected to gather in Phoenix Park to see Pope Francis later this month.
"I heard that people could be on their feet for up to eight hours when they go to see the Pope," he said.
He added: "Alongside being a great souvenir of this historic day, it's completely biodegradable."
