The management of the Bernard Shaw pub on Dublin's Richmond Street have announced it will close "for good" at the end of October.
In a statement posted on the pub's website, management said they had "tried really hard over the last few months to renew the lease".
The statement added that "a lot of things didn't go our way over the last 12 months".
Earlier this year An Bord Pleanála refused planning permission for the pub's beer garden to continue operating.
The closure will also impact on the Eatyard outdoor dining space beside the pub.
The pub's management thanked their customers who "came, and left, and came back again" over the 13 years it was in operation.
The Bernard Shaw is one of a number of Dublin pubs and nightclubs operated by the Bodytonic group.
