Four men charged with the abduction and false imprisonment of Quinn Industrial Holdings Director Kevin Lunney have been further remanded in custody.

Darren Redmond, 25, with an address at Calendon Road, East Wall, Dublin; Alan O'Brien, 38, of Shelmalier Road, East Wall and Luke O'Reilly, 66, from Mullahoran Lower, Kilcogy, Co Cavan are all charged with assault causing harm and false imprisonment.

A fourth man faces the same charges but cannot be named for legal reasons.

A temporary order preventing the man being named was extended today.

All four men appeared were before Virginia District Court.

A bail application was made in the case of Mr O'Reilly.

The court heard gardaí were objecting.

Judge Denis McLoughlin refused bail and remanded Mr O'Reilly in custody to Castlerea prison.

The three other men were also remanded in custody to Castlerea prison.

The four men are due before Harristown District Court on 13 December.
