Irish-founded employee benefits platform Kota has raised €5 million in seed round funding.

Kota, formerly known as Yonder, provides a platform to businesses allowing them to automate insurance and retirement benefits for staff.

The company has partnered with insurance and pension providers and its tools allow employers to set up and manage staff benefits.

The funding round was led by EQT Ventures with follow-on investment from existing investors Northzone and Frontline Ventures.

Kota said it will use the funds to further develop its platform and expand its country and product
reach.

"Kota is first to market with a platform that is automating workflows through data synchronisation and reconciliation, integrating with top-tier health, life and pension providers, and ultimately, delivering employees access to the benefits that they deserve," said Luke Mackey, Kota Co-Founder and CEO.
