Three-quarters of the recommendations made by the Arts and Culture Recovery Taskforce have been implemented, the Department of Arts and Culture has said.
Of the recommendations, eight have been implemented, five are said to be "in progress" and one has been "closed".
The number one recommendation of the taskforce was the introduction of a basic income for the arts pilot scheme and €25m has been allotted to pilot this scheme this year.
Other recommendations that were implemented include a Business Support Grants Scheme for SMEs in the events sector, well-being supports for the events sector and a creative green programme.
In a statement, the Minister for the Arts Catherine Martin said: "I am determined to ensure that permanent damage is not done to the arts sector from the pandemic and that the Basic Income pilot scheme is part of this response to ensure the arts in Ireland come back stronger than ever."
The taskforce was set up in September 2020 to prepare recommendations on how the arts and culture sector can adapt and recover from the unprecedented damage arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.
