There will be no audiences at RTÉ programmes from tomorrow, until further notice. The announcement was made in an email to all staff today.
The broadcaster said all measures are being taken to protect staff, while keeping vital services on air at a time when the Irish public needs up to date news and information from the national broadcaster.
RTÉ also told staff that changes may be made to radio and television schedules, where necessary.
Movement across the campus at Donnybrook will be zoned and no guests or suppliers will enter RTÉ sites unless absolutely essential.
Remote working will be facilitated where possible, movement on site restricted and all unnecessary meetings cancelled.
RTÉ's steering committee will continue to meet daily, face to face and virtually.
The broadcaster said it will keep the developing situation under review and make decisions as required
