Two ATMs have been recovered near Kingscourt, Co Cavan.
Gardai have confirmed this afternoon that they have found items of interest in a wooded area.
Crime scene investigators are examining the area.
It is understood a jeep and trailer were also found burnt out.
The ATMs contained no money.
It is believed they are the machines taken from Kells, Co Meath in the early hours of Friday morning.
The machines had been filled with cash for the Bank Holiday weekend.
They are understood to have contained at least €200,000.
