Gardaí are treating the death of a woman whose body was discovered at the Homestead Court Complex in Cabra in Dublin as suspicious.
A relative found the 33-year-old mother-of-two in an apartment at around 2.30pm this afternoon.
Emergency services and the gardaí were called and a criminal investigation is under way.
The woman appears to have died violently but the cause of death will not be established until the post-mortem examination has been carried out tomorrow.
Detectives believe the woman was the victim of a violent assault.
At this stage there are no signs of a break-in at the apartment.

Gardaí are conducting house-to-house inquiries in the area, gathering CCTV footage and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information, including neighbours who may have heard anything connected to a violent struggle, to contact them at Store Street Garda Station.
A man was arrested in Dublin in connection with the incident just before 6pm.
The 35-year-old is being detained at Mountjoy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be questioned for up to 24 hours
It is understood he may have known the victim.
