A record number of people have attended the sixth annual Dublin Kite Festival on Dollymount Strand.
Organisers say a crowd of 18,000 was drawn to the Dublin City Council-organised event, beating the previous record when 15,000 people attended the event last year.
The festival drew large numbers of young families and first-time kite flyers, but there were also prizes awarded across a range of categories including the most aerodynamic kite, most beautiful kite and funniest kite of the day.
Around 2,500 small kites were made and distributed for free at a series of workshops, and kite masters gave stunt flying demonstrations.
