A special tribute has been held in the Mansion House in Dublin this evening to mark the 90th birthday of the poet Thomas Kinsella.
A native of Inchicore in Dublin, Mr Kinsella's major works include his translation of 'The Táin' and ‘Butchers Dozen’.
Many of his fellow poets read from his work at the gathering which was hosted by Lord Mayor Mícheál Mac Donncha.
Mr Kinsella was described as a poet who wrote about "youth and age, innocence and experience".
