A solicitor for the family of a 21-year-old Belfast man who died suddenly on the Spanish island of Ibiza last week has said initial post-mortem reports indicated Alan Drennan had suffered injuries to his face and scalp.
The post mortem was carried out in Dublin today by the State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy and the full results may not be known for up to four months.
Mr Drennan was arrested by Spanish police when he arrived in Ibiza, and friends travelling with him later claimed he had been assaulted by police.
An earlier post mortem carried out in Spain concluded Mr Drennan had died from organ failure.
His funeral is expected to take place in Belfast later this week.
