The emergency services reported 801 call-outs in Dublin city, county and surrounding areas over Halloween night.

Last year, there were 650 call-outs over the Halloween weekend, which was a drop from previous years, due mainly to bad weather.

Over the weekend, gardaí and the fire service had urged people to act responsibly and encouraged young people in particular to attend organised events.

Elsewhere, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said that while it was extremely busy last night, the number of callouts it received was roughly the same as last Halloween.

One person was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries following an incident in Derry.
