A 32-year-old man has been before Dublin District Court, charged with the murder of a man in Tallaght on Saturday.
Thomas Kinsella, of Orchid House Hostel, James's Street in Dublin 8, was charged with the murder of 23-year-old John Murdoch.
Mr Murdoch died after being stabbed near a shop in Cushlawn Dale in Tallaght in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The court heard that Mr Kinsella had nothing to say when charged.
The court was also told he was unemployed and homeless.
He was remanded in custody to appear again before Cloverhill District Court next Tuesday.
