A man has been arrested in connection with the murders of two British soldiers in Northern Ireland.

The 51-year-old is also being questioned about the attempted killing of five people during the shooting outside Massereene Barracks in Antrim last March.

He is being questioned at the PSNI’s serious crime suite in Antrim.

Patrick Azimkar (21) and 23-year-old Mark Quinsey were shot dead outside the barracks.

Prominent republican Colin Duffy (41), is one of two men already charged with the murders. He has been in custody since March.
