The High Court has approved bail conditions for a 51-year-old man who is charged with the murder of his wife in Howth in Co Dublin just over two weeks ago.
Eamonn Lillis of Windgate Road in Howth is to be granted bail in his own bond of €150,000, €75,000 of which is to be lodged.
An independent surety of €50,000 is also required, or alternatively two independent sureties of €25,000, with no requirement for any lodgement.
Mr Lillis will be required to sign on daily at Howth Garda station between the hours of 9am and 9pm, or to sign on at another Garda station approved by gardaí.
He must also reside at his home at Windgate Road in Howth, or at another address approved by gardaí.
Gardaí are already in possession of his passport, and Mr Lillis will undertake not to apply for another.
The High Court was told by counsel for the State that the bail application on the terms outlined had the consent of the State.
Mr Lillis' barrister Michael O'Higgins asked that a copy of the terms of the bail order be made available by 10am tomorrow morning if possible.
Mr Justice Patrick MacCarthy approved the terms of the bail application.
Mr Lillis is due back before the District Court in a week's time.
He was charged last week with the murder of his wife Celine Cawley who was found fatally injured on the back patio of her home at Windgate Road on the morning of 15 December.
