A 31-year-old man has been jailed for attempting to pervert the course of justice and interfere with a witness.
David Goulding tried to persuade Afak Alquasar to withdraw his statement to gardaí against Darren Larkin.
Mr Larkin had shot him in the head and was subsequently given life in prison for attempted murder.
Judge Pat McCartan sentenced Goulding to three years in prison and said it was an attack upon the institution of justice, the operation of the courts and the capacity of the gardaí to investigate serious crime.
