The Central Criminal Court in Dublin has heard evidence from a man that he fired a shot at a stolen car with his legally held shot gun in Blanchardstown a few years ago.
Afek Alquasar also said that up to eight cars were driving up and down outside his home nightly and it was littered with burnt out cars in the morning.
The 49-year-old said his wife nearly died during the birth of their daughter, because of exhaustion and lack of sleep from the joy riders.
He was giving evidence in the case of 23-year-old Darren Larkin who denies attempting to murder Afek Alquasar, a security manager in the Blanchardstown Leisureplex in Dublin.
Mr Alquasar was shot in the head on 20 February last year.
