Purchasing - Survey on consumer attitudes

A survey of consumer attitudes has found that house buying intentions among Irish consumers are now at their lowest level for more than a decade.

The survey, conducted by the Economic and Social Research Institute and IIB Bank, also found that consumers had become more cautious about how they will spend their SSIA saving funds when they mature.

The survey found that consumers believe interest rates will rise by more than is currently expected by the financial markets.
