A 26-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a victim sustained serious head and face injuries in an assault in Portstewart, Co Derry.
The incident, on the Coleraine Road, was reported shortly after 9pm on Saturday night.
The accused is expected to appear at North Antrim Magistrates Court in Coleraine later today.
