A 26-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a victim sustained serious head and face injuries in an assault in Portstewart, County Londonderry.
The 39-year-old victim was attacked near the centre of the seaside town of Portstewart.
He suffered serious head and facial injuries.
The accused is expected to appear at North Antrim Magistrates Court, Coleraine, tomorrow.
