Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation and Fox television have abandoned plans to publish a book by, and television interview with, OJ Simpson in which he describes how he would have killed his ex-wife.
The former American footballer was cleared of murdering Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman, in 1995.
He was later found to have been responsible for their deaths in a civil court.
Rupert Murdoch's media empire bowed to public pressure in the US.
All the copies of the book, 'If I Did It', are to be pulped.
Mr Murdoch has apologised to the victims' families, saying the project had been ill-considered.
