The former Irish national swimming coach Derry O'Rourke has pleaded guilty in the Central Criminal Court to more sexual offences involving teenage girls.
O'Rourke, a father of six from Edenderry in Co Offaly, is already serving sentences totalling 12 years for sexual abuse.
Today, he admitted two charges of rape and four sample indecent assault charges against one victim.
He has already been convicted of sexual abuse involving 18 young girls aged between ten and 19, dating back to 1970.
The 57-year-old was brought to justice in 1998 when he pleaded guilty to 29 charges involving 11 girls. The full indictment had 90 charges and Judge Kieran O'Connor imposed a range of concurrent sentences of up to 12 years.
Two years later, O'Rourke admitted 19 out of a total of 59 charges involving six girls, and received another four-year concurrent sentence.
Sentencing on the latest charges has been set for 24 January.
