Religious Orders have begun giving evidence for the first time in public to the child abuse commission.
Members of the Dominican and Rosminian orders outlined to the commission how and when they first became aware of allegations of abuse at institutions run by them.
Both orders expressed regret to the commission for incidents of child abuse.
The Rosminian order accepted that its response to the allegations had at times been inadequate.
