An appeal by former Limerick City Alderman Michael Kelly against his conviction for fraud will be heard at Limerick Circuit Court on 1 December.
Kelly, 47, of St Francis John House, Ballyneety in Co. Limerick, was convicted last March on eight VAT and income tax offences, seven summonses against his company Crestwin Ltd, and 12 breaches of the social welfare act.
His conviction followed an investigation by the CAB into his business affairs, which started in October 2001.
The father-of-three was sentenced to eight months in jail, fined €3,000 and ordered to pay €3,700 in court costs.
