A man who operated a children's fun park in Co Wicklow has pleaded guilty to possession of a computer containing child pornography at his home last year.
At Wicklow Circuit Court this morning, Peter Morphew of Ballylug, Clara Vale in Co Wicklow, also pleaded guilty to two other charges of possessing a shotgun and two rounds of ammunition.
He has been remanded on continuing bail to appear in court again in December.
Peter Morphew is a founder of one of the most successful children's fun parks in the country, Clara Lara adventure centre in Vale of Clara, Co Wicklow.
In May of last year detectives raided his home at Ballylug near Rathdrum as part of Operation Amethyst, the nationwide investigation into Internet child pornography.
The 61-year-old was arrested and charged and today he pleaded guilty to three offences at Wicklow Circuit Court.
His solicitor told the court this morning that Mr Morphew was being referred to a consultant.
