Kenyan police say no link has so far been found between the al-Qaeda network and 10 people they are still questioning about the attacks on Israeli targets in the city of Mombasa.
Two people, an American and a Spanish national, have been released. Police say they are satisfied that the two had no involvement in the attacks.
Alicia Kalhammer,of Florida. and her husband Jose Tena, of Madrid, both said they were fine after they left Mombasa port police station.
Earlier, US officials said they believed a Somali based Islamic group with links to Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network may have been behind the attacks in which 16 people are now confirmed killed.
Today the victim list was revised to include 9 Kenyans, three Israelis, the three bombers and an unknown man who may be another Kenyan.
