Two of 5ive remanded on bail until 10 January

Two members of the British boy band, 5ive, who were arrested last night in Dublin, have been remanded on continuing bail until 10 January. The two pop stars appeared in the Dublin District Court today following an incident at a pub last night. Richard Dobson and Jason Brown were remanded on continuing bail until January 10. The two were arrested and taken to Pearse Street Garda Station following a pub brawl at the Palace Bar on Fleet Street. It is understood the trouble broke out after the pop stars were insulted by other men in the pub, who claimed they were not as good as the Irish boy band, Westlife. Two others were arrested and one man was taken to hospital.

The band members appeared briefly before Judge William Hamill who agreed to a request that their case return to the courts on January 10. Rich and J, as they are known, will remain on bail in the meantime. The band is to play two concerts at the Point Depot tonight and tomorrow night.
