The authorities in the Philippines say they now believe a female hacker is responsible for the "Love Bug" virus that created havoc in computer systems around the world last week. A police spokesman said that the suspect was a young computer student. However, he said that an arrest was not imminent because they believed whatever evidence, which linked her to the virus had been destroyed. The FBI is assisting the Filipino authorities in the investigation. The "I Love You" virus affected thousands of computer files in Ireland and at least 2.5 million files in the United States.
