Ingredients
Serves: 8, very generous portions
- 275g plain chocolate
- 275g butter
- 175g plain flour
- 1tsp baking powder
- 325g caster sugar
- 4 large Irish farmhouse eggs, lightly beaten
- 80g white chocolate
- 80g milk chocolate
- 80g toasted nuts (Hazelnuts, walnuts, pecan nuts)
- Serve with Irish strawberries and cream
Method
- Pre-heat oven to 180c
- Line a shallow 8"x 10" baking tin with greaseproof paper
- Put the plain chocolate and butter in a bowl and melt over a pot of water
- Mix the flour and baking powder together
- Add the sugar to the melted chocolate and butter mix, allow to cool slightly
- Add the eggs to this mix
- Fold in the flour mix in stages
- Fold in the chocolate chunks and nuts
- Bake for 20-25 mins until the top is baked but it remains gooey inside
- Chill and cut after.
