Serve with warm crusty bread buns, lettuce, tomato and a side of relish.

Ingredients

  • 1kg minced lamb
  • 1 egg
  • 50g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh mint
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 red onion, diced and cooked
  • 150g diced black pudding

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180c.
  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl and shape into 170g burgers.
  • Place a pan on a medium heat. Once the pan is hot add a drop of oil (vegetable, sunflower or rapeseed).
  • Place the burger down in the pan and cook for three to four minutes or until a nice colour has formed. Then turn over and cook for a further 4 minutes. Transfer to a tray and bake in the oven for a further 14 minutes.
  • Serve with warm crusty bread buns, lettuce, tomato and a side of relish.
