A festive dessert that tastes as good as it looks!
Ingredients
- 4 pears (cored and peeled)
- 1 stick of cinnamon
- 1 tsp star anise
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 orange (juice and rind)
- 1 lemon (juice and rind)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 bottle port
- 1/2 bottle red wine
- 2 tblsp plum pudding
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 shot baileys
- 2 cup white sugar
- for the milkshake:
Method
- Add all ingredients including pears in a heavy saucepan and gently simmer for 15/20 minutes or until tender.
- Remove Pears from liquid and reduce liquid by half. Spoon over pears.
- For the Milkshake: Liquidise all ingredients in a blender. Serve in glass.
