The Leaving Cert is stressful enough at the best of times, but trying to prepare when you haven't been in school for weeks, don’t know when your exams are going to be or if you’ll be able to start college in the autumn, is really hard.

There are also the other coming of age rituals that hang in the balance; the debs, a celebratory holiday with friends, a ceremonial goodbye to your teachers and classmates. There’s a lot to process.

In this episode of You OK? Senior Psychologist at the HSE Primary Care Centre in Wexford, Peadar Maxwell, discusses how parents and Leaving Cert students can manage the challenges of these uncertain times as well as sharing some techniques for keeping the lines of communication open.
