Last night, Sunday April 15, in Dublin's Mansion House, Gráinne Seoige and Aidan Power hosted the 43rd People of the Year Awards. A host of Irish celebs walked the red carpet before attending the event - you can check out the gallery here - including the lovely Garrihy sisters.
Doireann Garrihy took a night off from creating her brand new series, The Doireann Project for the RTÉ Player to celebrate Ireland's finest. Watch our interview with Doireann above.
Although this was her first year attending the event, the radio presenter said that her sister, Aoibhín shared a top tip - waterproof mascara!
"It's one of those nights where you watch from your couch and you weep so I was warned to wear waterproof mascara, I don't think it will work but I'm going to give it a lash."
As for her red carpet look, the Snapchat sensation wore a suit by Millie Mackintosh with accessories from Aldo and heels from River Island.
"My suit is actually by Millie Mackintosh and she has finished her fashion label, she finished it about maybe two months ago, so I'm hoping I'll be able to sell it for millions in a couple of months time."
Fair City actress and wellness guru Aoibhín Garrihy also attended the event and insisted the awards were something she looked forward to every year.
"It's always the highlight of my calendar. I've been lucky enough to attend the past few years and it's just a very, very special one. The waterproof mascara is at the ready.
"It's an opportunity to hail those who really, really deserve it, those incredible unsung heroes."
Due to give birth to her firstborn child in June, Aoibhín looked like a knock-out in a stunning black dress from Mango. Who knew maternity wear could look so good?
"It's cheap and cheerful, it's comfortable, it's on the larger side which is what I need tonight," she laughed.
Doireann and Aoibhín's sister Ailbhe also attended the event wearing a beautiful striped dress from Zara.
Host Aidan Power got chatting with the Garrihy gals on the red carpet, check it out in the video below.
The winners of the 43rd People of the Year Awards were announced live on RTÉ One last night but you can watch it back on RTÉ Player now.
