Cruinniú na nÓg 2021 will see hundreds of events taking place all over Ireland and around the world online and in person today!

It's a monster day celebrating young people's creativity with music, art, dancing, painting, drama, poetry and loads more fun creative activities on show.

Garageland is running all day on RTÉ 2XM and on the special Garageland TV channel on YouTube.

Watch and listen from 10am where over 90 bands will step out from their sheds or their rooms into the spotlight to rock out and make some noise!

Nenagh Children's Film Festival is up and running and you might have already seen some of their Next Gen Animators on RTÉjr.

Over the past few weeks Brian Fleming and the crew at Glór Ennis have assembled drummers from all over the world with different influences to teach young people how to play and they have sent them their beats.

On Cruinniú day it will all come together with a special film on RTÉ2 at 9.55am and online at 10am. We hope you really enjoyed the workshops and you can still access them.

This year, Dance Ireland produced a new dance project - Let's Dance! Over 60 participants from 11 youth dance companies, nationwide, have taken part and formed an online community of young dancers.

The films will be live at 2pm on the big day!

Working with choreographers, Matt Szczerek and Jack Bain, of Human Collective, participants of various dance experience have gathered together online to learn innovative ways of making dance using technology through online workshops and an online dance resource - you can see it HERE.

Céilí in the Kitchen with Áirc Damhsa has a special live show at 1pm but you can join in and share your dance moves and music at any stage during the day.

This Saturday, gather your family and friends in your kitchen and fill it with music, song, dance, stories and craic!

Cruinniú na nÓg 2021 is a collaboration between the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, the Creative Ireland Programme, local authorities and RTÉ and is the only event of its kind in the world.
